Seminar on the transmission of local musical traditions.
The Mały Kolberg program has been implemented in Poland since 2014 and its main goal is to introduce children traditional culture through music, dance and games. The patron of the program is the nineteenth-century ethnographer Oskar Kolberg, thanks to whom Poles now have over 80 volumes of descriptions of old folk customs.
At the seminar, we will present how we realize the postulate of protection of the intangible cultural heritage and how we understand its value in building family, local and national relations.
During practical workshops, we will show you games, songs and dances, that work great for children and during the second part we will see where you can get inspiration to discover tradition and use the potential of local communities.
We will also present educational resources that are created during our project: the website malykolberg.pl, collections of games and dances from many regions of Poland as well as publications.
We invite educators, parents and everyone who is close to traditional culture and musical development of children.
The event takes place as part of the Mały Kolberg w Irlandii and is co-financed as part of taking care of the Senate of the Republic of Poland over the Polonia and Poles abroad in 2019.

Program Mały Kolberg (http://malykolberg.pl), realizowany jest w Polsce od 2014 r. a jego głównym celem jest przybliżanie dzieciom kultury tradycyjej przez zabawę, śpiew i taniec. Patronem programu jest XIX-wieczny etnograf Oskar Kolberg, dzięki któremu Polacy dysponują dziś ponad 80-tomowym zbiorem opisu dawnych obyczajów ludowych.
Na seminarium zaprezentujemy w jaki sposób realizujemy postulaty ochrony niematerialnego dziedzictwa kultury i jak rozumiemy jego wartość w budowaniu relacji rodzinnych, lokalnych i narodowych.
W trakcie praktycznych warsztatów nauczymy zabaw, piosenek i tańców, jakie doskonale sprawdzają się w pracy z dziećmi a podczas części metodycznej zobaczymy skąd można czerpać inspiracje do odkrywania tradycji i wykorzystywania potencjału społeczności lokalnych.
Zaprezentujemy też materiały edukacyjne, jakie powstają w trakcie naszego projektu: serwis internetowy malykolberg.pl, kolekcje zabaw i tańców z wielu regionów Polski a także publikacje.
